TOP 5 BEST PLACES IN THE WORLD

I travel a lot and always thought of the best place to visit in the world but when it comes to travelling the world it takes more than just walking a crowded city to enjoy your trip to discover the world.

The list below is not very small I believe, each country from Africa, Europe, Asia and America have something special to offer you. From cultural sites to historical cities, there are many different areas that will surprise you when you visit them. Some places would be better visited once they close their doors for holidays while others would be perfect if you were planning a short vacation here or there.

I hope this list has helped you find some inspiration in how far you’ve moved on and how much more you can explore. Here are 5 of my favourite places this summer you should all go visit.

1 – Cape Town

Known as ‘the motherland’ of South African beaches, Cape Town holds an abundance of diverse tourism. You’ll see countless architectural and artworks that give their views of beautiful landscapes around him. There are plenty of museums that hold history and artifacts from before the apartheid period. Also plenty of beaches with endless water parks and restaurants that offer fresh seafood. I love visiting Cape Town every year because of its various events, such as V&A Waterfront which is held in March of each year where tourists come to admire the many structures in town. To finish off of everything else the City Centre Square offers food stalls as well as live entertainment during evenings. Lastly, Cape Town Zoo provides visitors with a wide range of animals and habitats from lions to elephants and penguins. If you want to see one last thing about Cape Town don’t miss out. Take part in an open-air movie on Christmas Eve at the Metro Cinema that celebrates the famous scenes of Hans Christian Anderson’s fairy tale The Santa Clause. This movie was released by Columbia Pictures back in 1955. (I’ll talk more about the cinema in another article here)

2 – St Paul’s CathedralFree Black and Brown Concrete Building Stock Photo

St. Paul’s cathedral is the largest cathedral in the world and features over 25 000 seats. It is estimated to be built in 1230’s and is also the third-largest church in the world. With stunning views towards the Red Sea near Pofadder there are plenty that you can enjoy in the Church. Not only does it hold a collection of historic antiques but there is evidence that shows how Christ was healed after being taken prisoner. Even though it is sometimes crowded, try and find a quiet spot where you can read your favourite book with peace and quiet. Be sure to look into the prayer that helps when you need too. 3 – New York CityFree Empire State Building, New York Stock Photo

New York City is filled with amazing landmarks that I love to visit every time I go there. One of those highlights is the Times Square itself which contains iconic buildings such as the Rockefeller Center and The Empire State Building. However, I think that these sights make me feel like a kid and never want to leave. Another great landmark to visit is Times Square Park, home to a large fountain that’s lit up with millions of LED lights during night time. But even though the view is spectacular it doesn’t compare to the real beauty I find behind those skyscrapers. While visiting the park, take a deep breath and walk down Broadway Avenue while enjoying delicious New York delicacies. As for shopping and eating my favourite things on the streets, shop for designer goods such as baguettes made from oyster shells from Iceland. Finally, stroll on Sixth Avenue and take in the bright light of Manhattan’s skyline. Definitely don’t forget to wander through Central Park and see what beautiful trees and flowers line the way and give yourself a wonderful picture for Instagram.

4 – Kyoto Free Red and Black Temple Surrounded by Trees Photo Stock Photo

When I first heard of the name Kyoto back in 2015 I fell in love with the area. Kyoto is known as Japan’s green capital and was the birthplace of one of the most successful industries of today; Japanese steel making. So despite the cold climate, being surrounded by a landscape that gives you a glimpse of nature, you still get to experience modern art. Although it may seem hard to understand, some of Kyoto’s most popular attractions include the gorgeous Buddha statue, the Nihon Zoological Gardens and the cherry blossoming season Cherry Blossom Festival. My favourite place to enjoy Kyoto is during the Spring Flower Trail in Tachikawa Shrine and watch how beautiful and colourful it looks with the vibrant colour. Plus, I’ll see the beautiful gardens of the Fushimi Seshinji and the shrine of Omura Miei. Next stop is Shinrin Yoku, located in eastern Tokyo and houses over 70 million plants and over 400 species of plants, including rare ones from across the world.

5 - PARIS Free Low Angle Photo of Eiffel Tower Stock Photo

hile France seems to be the smallest nation in Europe, they have a multitude of stunning tourist attractions. For some, it is the second biggest tourist attraction after London, so it isn’t surprising to hear Paris is a city that will take everyone by storm! My favourite city to visit in France is called Champs Elysee since it is a great place for seeing the monuments that represent French imperialism. The Eiffel Tower is one of the most recognisable monuments in France and you’re going to want to get up close and personal to admire it for yourself with a glass of champagne in hand. Along with the Eiffel Tower there are other landmarks like Arc de Triomphe and Arc de la Concorde. Another must-see in France is Les Deain’s Champs-Elysees park and Chateau Vert de Seine because it is surrounded by lovely greenery.

There are so many parts of the world that we haven’t covered in this post. Maybe next time I’ll write a few articles about each country and more about my experiences.
